missing birth father

This story starts 43 years ago. My mother Nancy Heath met my Father Alfred Thompson at the Van Wert county fair if I remember correctly. My father use to rodeo and train horses. After they were married they had gotten allot of horses as well as some race horses. The local sheriff and his group of local crooks or mob as some would call them wanted my fathers race horse. My dad and mom hated the sheriff and his gang of crooks and would have never sold the horse to them. My father had trained some other horses for these men and was said to have been afraid of what they might do. Some where in here my mother got pregnant with me. To this day I do not know if my father knew she was pregnant or not. But fearing these men my mother told me they had planed on moving to Oklahoma and packed up to do so. Having hooked the horse trailer up to the car and loaded all the lugage they went to bed. sometime in the night my mother awoke to find my father missing blood on the car and nothing of his gone everything still packed up. The horse on the other hand was gone. My mother went to the sherriffs house and there it was along with all of his cohorts. He had no bill of sale and told my mother to leave or she would disappear next. My mother never told me if my father knew she was pregnant but she belived the only reason he left was out of fear of theses men. My family had always told me how great gene was and they all liked him. My grandmother said he was a great guy and would have never left if it wasnt to protect us. I would love to meet him and his family I have always thought i missed out on not knowing him. I still think of him as my father that i do not know and he has 4 grandchildren now if you know Alfred Thompson tell him I am looking for him I do know he has some spider tattoos on his hands or spider webs and some names but mother could not rember what they were and she has since passed away and i can no longer ask her questions as has most of my family who rembers gene.

visit with son at Ft benning

This is my son Colt in Georgia at Ft Benning. We had a great time and now he is in AIT for 22 weeks. Alot have changed since i was in the army during Desert Storm. I can remember driving on post and now you have about three check points to get in and everyone acts like your going to blow the place up. I guess there doing there job but it kinda made me feel uneasy. I still liked being in the Army although i worry about my son now and i asked him before he went if he understood the risk and he said he did. I really loved being at Ft.Benning it was a real nice place I was at Ft. Hood and i loved it I think Benning was nicer tho. I remember my mother worrying about me so much when i was in the Army and if there are any parents out there worrying now i do understand. If you ever want to talk about your children or any advice for basic or army life i would be glad to help anyone new to the Army scene. Although i think the support the Army offers now is alot better than what it was when i was in. I told my Colt that his sister would miss him and he did not believe me i think he found out just how much he was missed he realy does not like his sis to kiss him and she did this all day and he never complained once. Was one of the best days of my life so far.
Having a son at 43
Today is a good day for the most part. I thought i would take the few minutes i have and tell you about me since I am asking for your help. Im 43 and have four children the youngest is 19 months and i tell you at 43 hes a hand full. I do not remember the others being so difficult. I adore him as well as my other 3 tho. My oldest daughter is in college and has her own apt. She is alot like me i love her to no end. My son is 18 and is now in the army which I was myself so how could i say no. I am so proud of him he is a great son. my little girl is 8 and thinks she is 18 go figure. but she is so good and i love her to much i think she gets away with murder. Well some days i am stricter than others and feel sorry for having to yell at them so much. My wife gets home alot later than I so its just me and the kids. She is going back to school to finish her RN so i see her for a little bit at night and on the weekends its not to bad. She is 10 years younger than me and some days i feel it she thinks im in good shape tho. well after making beds doing laundry, making supper and cleaning house as well as the dishes my little boy is telling me im not giving him enough attention so i shall go entertain him until my wife gets home and we put him to bed. Then i loose th PC to her for her school work because I gave my lap top to my oldest son to use in the Army because i cant tell him no either. I am either the biggest push over or a good dad i hope its just being a good dad well i do hope you have a great day hope to write more soon.
